Mr. Fisher is a California Certified Public Accountant and a Partner with VTD. He serves as the partner-in-charge for public and privately-held institutions throughout California and surrounding states. These financial institutions range from De Novo Banks in their organization process to institutions with approximately $1 billion in assets.
Mr. Fisher brought over 30 years experience with regional and national accounting firms providing audit, accounting, and tax services to financial institutions in Illinois when he joined VTD in 2008. He coordinated the quality control activities with one of these firms from 1988 to 2004. He has served as team captain on numerous peer reviews of other firms and of the internal inspections of the financial institutions practice of a national accounting firm. This dedication to quality control and the specific needs associated with the changing landscape for the financial institutions has earned Mr. Fisher a well respected reputation with his peers and his clients.
Mr. Fisher has continued his efforts with educating staff on the current issues within the accounting profession related to financial institutions by preparing and presenting educational training sessions on a wide variety of topics. He is a frequent presenter on audit and accounting topics at the annual CBAN Conference presented by the Community Bank Advisory Network. This Network is an association of CPA Firms throughout the United States that combined; provide accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to over 2,300 financial institution clients.
Mr. Fisher is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). He is also a member of the Community Bank Advisory Network (CBAN) and has served as a past President of the organization.
