Ms. White is a California Certified Public Accountant and a partner with VTD. For the past twenty-four years, she has conducted annual audits of a variety of entities throughout California with assets in excess of $700 million. Clients include community colleges and other institutions of higher education, K-12 school districts, and county offices of education as well as not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans and corporations.
Through the conduct of the external audit process, Ms. White has also performed internal control assessments to assist entities in maintaining efficient and effective internal controls within the business operations. These internal control assessments have also been conducted for clients who have suspected malfeasance or fraud that may have occurred within the accounting records.
As a trainer, Ms. White has provided training to staff on a variety of topics related to accounting issues, A-133 compliance and Employee Benefit Plan compliance. She has provided seminars on internal control best practices, compliance with federal regulatory guidelines, student government fund accounting and other topics related to client business practices. Ms. White has been a featured speaker and past chair of the CalCPA Education Foundation annual School District Conference, the California Consortium of Education Foundations, the California Community College Internal Auditors’ Association and the Association of California Community College Administrators.
Ms. White has attended conferences developed and presented by the AICPA related to Employee Benefit Plans, Not-For-Profit Organizations and Governmental Single Audit requirements. Other educational courses presented by the CalCPA Education Foundation as well as VTD sponsored courses complete and compliment the advisory services Ms. White is able to provide to her clients.
Ms. White is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). She also is a member of California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
