Mr. Helm is a California Certified Public Accountant and a partner with VTD. He serves as the practice group chair of the Firm’s tax practice and his specific expertise is with individual, partnership and corporate tax compliance and planning.
Prior to joining VTD, Mr. Helm was a senior tax manager with one of the international “Big 4” accounting firms where he served a variety of clients generally concentrated in the manufacturing, real estate, retail and distribution industries. Mr. Helm also spent two years in Montreal, Quebec, Canada assisting Canadian and U.S. Corporations with cross border transactions.
That level of experience has been further developed within his specialized practice providing tax planning strategies and advisory services for corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships. He has assisted his clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, tax resolution and multi state tax planning.
