Mr. Rauch is a California Certified Public Accountant and a partner with VTD. Over the past twelve years, Mr. Rauch has focused his experience with financial institutions, governmental entities and not-for-profit organizations by providing audit, accounting and advisory services.
Working with community banks throughout California, Mr. Rauch has provided guidance in the areas of loan loss analysis and new accounting requirements. His primary area of expertise is in working with the De Novo banks during their organizational and start-up phase.
Within the governmental sector, K-12 school districts, county offices of education and community colleges are Mr. Rauch’s primary areas of services. Mr. Rauch has provided financial statement and single audit compliance reports for entities with over $600 million in assets and annual revenues in excess of $900 million. Reporting requirements have changed over the past several years with more accountability and transparency is one of the primary objectives of the federal Single Audit report. Mr. Rauch has provided advisory services to our clients in the area of training to ensure the compliance requirements of OMB Circular A-133 are understood and adequate documentation is maintained.
Mr. Rauch’s clients within the community college industry have included single college as well as multi college districts. He understand the importance of communication within the district and with the audit Firm to provide for accurate and timely reporting of financial activity and the regulatory reporting requirements set out by the State Chancellor’s Office. Each of our community college clients maintains a separate Foundation to provide additional revenues to support programs and services of the District as well as scholarships to students. Mr. Rauch works with these organizations to ensure accurate reporting within the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements and IRS reporting and compliance requirements.
Mr. Rauch is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) and the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO)
