Basic Requirements

Accounting and Auditing Professionals must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or related specialized course work with sufficient accounting and auditing course work to sit for the CPA examination.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team participant
• Ability to work independently
• Understand the rules, requirements, and code of conduct of the AICPA, and authoritative literature established by the FASB and GASB
• Familiar with pertinent IRC sections and regulations

Senior

• Must have two to three years of public accounting experience
• Actively pursuing California CPA license
• Ability to assess risk related to internal processes and procedures
• Able to prepare full disclosure financial statements

Supervisor

• Must have four to six years of prior public accounting experience
• Actively pursuing California CPA license
• Ability to assess risk based on environment and financial circumstances and adapt the audit approach based on said assessment
• Experienced with supervision of multiple levels of staff and able to mentor and develop talents

Manager

• Must have five to seven years of prior public accounting experience
• Must possess a California CPA license
• Able to develop and provide understanding of services provided by VTD and identify additional services for client
• Active within business community – familiar with who’s who within the area
